Miami Lakes Canal Bank Stabilization

Completion: March 2017

The Miami Lakes Canal Bank Stabilization project uses geoweb panels to stabilize about 3100 LF of bank along the Golden Glades and Peter's Pike Canal that have severely eroded. 

Due to limited ROW space, all work for this project is being done from the water-side.

SFWMD C-4 Canal Bank Improvements, Palmetto Phase 1

Completed: May 2017

The SFWMD C-4 Canal Palmetto Phase 1 project is located in Miami, FL and runs parallel to Tamiami Trail. It is a continuation of the C-4 Canal Bank Improvements project and incorporates raising 5,000 feet of canal bank by approximately 3.5 feet, as well as an integrated drainage collection and disposal system. This flood protection berm includes a high-performance reinforcement mat to stabilize canal bank erosion. An articulated concrete block mat ramp lined with rip rap on both side was also installed. 

SFWMD C-4 Canal Bank Improvements, Sweetwater Phase

Completed: March 2016

 

The SFWMD C-4 Canal Sweetwater Phase project is located in Miami, FL and runs parallel to Tamiami Trail. It incorporates raising 5,000 feet of canal bank by approximately 3.5 feet, as well as an integrated drainage collection and disposal system. This flood protection berm includes a high-performance reinforcement mat to stabilize canal bank erosion.

Progresso Neighborhood Improvements Project

Completed: July 2016

 

The Progresso Neighborhood Improvements Project is located in Ft. Lauderdale and is helping to fulfill the community wide vision of "strengthening connectivity and creating safe, accesible, pedestrian friendly neighbohoods."

It involves the construction of approximately 3 miles of new sidewalk, sodded swales, improved drainage systems, landscaping, and 159 beautiful solar-powered pedestrian lighting.

City of Tamarac Walkway/Bikeway System Phase III

Completed: February 2016

 

The Walkway/Bikeway System Phase III is located in Tamarac, FL and consists of approximately 6 miles of bikelane, 1.2 miles of sidewalk, relocation of  firehydrants, and new swale areas.

This project  was developed to "enhance multimodal transportation, wellness, and recreational opportunities" throughout the City.

Rolling Oaks Park Pedestrian Trail

Completed: November 2014

This pedestrian trail winds through scenic Rolling Oaks Park in Miami Gardens and connects with an exisitng pathway, providing a safe & alternate form of travel for the city's residents. The trail features new benches, LED lighting, and outdoor fitness stations. 

During construction, special attention was directed at reducing project footprint and therefore minimize impact on the park's sensitive ecosystem.

Broward County Term Contract for Reinforced Masonry Bus Shelters

Completed: August 2014

 

Open-ended contract to furnish and install bus shelters throughout Broward County as well as to perform miscellaneous services on an as-needed basis. One of the largest work orders in this contract was the park & ride facility built at CB Smith Park. It includes 70 new parking spots, as well as a new drainage system and swale areas.

Turnpike Maintenance Compound Renovations

Completed: December 2012

 

The Turnpike Maintenance Compound Renovations Project consists of modifying to existing buildings in the West Palm Beach Maintenance Compound along Florida's Turnpike.

It involved a great deal of structural work, including building new reinforced concrete footings, bearing walls, and structural beams and joists.

  

City of Boca Raton Red Reef Park

Completed: December 2011

 

For this project, 2,500 LF of recycled plastic boardwalk and 5 gazebos were constructed throughout an environmentally sensitive area near the Coastal Construction Control Line. In addition, new piles and a turtle-safe lighting system were installed; as well as upgrades to the existing water system. 

First City Hall Park

Completed: December 2010

 

The First City Hall Park – Phase 1 project included the construction of a new park complete with water main, gazebo, water fountains, art components, sidewalks, lighting systems, landscaping, playground equipment, swales, and parking area.

 

City of Weston Bus Shelters

Completed: December 2010

 

A total of 14 bus shelters were installed along one of Weston's busiest streets. The project also involved grading, drainage, lighting, and landscaping.

Kindred Hospital Parking Lot & Drainage System

Completed: June 2009

 

Includes the construction of a new parking lot, along with paving, grading, drainage, lighting, landscaping, and a structural wall.

City of Delray: Lifeguard Towers

Completed: March 2008

 

The project included building (6) lifeguard houses with 30' piles, construction of wood frame, impact resistant windows and doors, siding, roof tile, stairs, railing and landscaping; as well as the demolition of existing lifeguard towers.  There was close coordination with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) regarding compliance of requirements associated with the Turtle Season and the Coastal Construction Control Line.

Helene Klein Pineland Preserve

Completed: January 2008

 

Construction of a new park in the City of Coconut Creek including careful clearing and grubbing throughout an environmentally sensitive area, construction of a parking lot, drainage system, water main system, approximately 2,500 linear feet of color concrete sidewalk, 550 linear feet of recycled plastic boardwalks, gazebos, information kiosk, picnic tables and benches.
